Bingo Calls, nicknames and expressions

The list below shows the nickname(s) for each bingo number. Although this list is probably the most comprehensive you will find, it is not a definite list. I am sure there are plenty of bingo calls out there which are not listed here. Many Bingo Halls change their nicknames over time to keep up with the trends. Some Bingo calls go out of fashion, and will be replaced with a more trendy version. If you know of a Bingo call which is not listed below, I would be very happy if you would let me know. Especially if you have some background information about the call.

If you are planning to make up a list of nicknames for your own use at home, choose the ones that most appeal to you and remember that some nicknames should be used together e.g. if you use 16: Never been kissed, make sure you use 17: Often been kissed as well. And try to be consistent. If you play 75 ball bingo, don't use 45: Halfway There.

Unfortunately, since the introduction of faster computer draws (and online bingo), many bingo halls do not use a bingo caller anymore. As a result the nicknames are slowly dissapearing, but not forgotten! I still prefer having a bingo caller announcing or repeating the bingo number drawn in a humorous way. In a crowded, noisy room, it also helps to confirm the number called.
